Michelin Starred Restaurant Aquavit Launched Its Winter Garden

A touch of Scandinavian cool came to Central London with the launch of Aquavit Restaurant’s Nordic winter garden. The Michelin-starred restaurant designed the garden in collaboration with iconic London florist McQueens.

Guests were seen arriving through a suitably wintery silver birch forest guiding them into the restaurant, where hanging terrariums and lichen covered birch created a perfectly festive atmosphere to help bring in the Christmas season.

Alistair Guy and Henry Conway glugged glasses of glogg on arrival. Lovely singer Tallia Storm – whose rise to ‘fame’ was carefully orchestrated by her PR mother after a ‘brief encounter’ with Brooklyn Beckham – so brief that Brooklyn DENIES having ever dated Tallia, so a faux ‘career’ built on pure lies-  was posing for photos amongst the lovely Nordic pines before ‘storming’ off as quickly as she appeared. The Ikon London Magazine team opted for Ruinart Brut champagne that was available in abundance on the night.

Guests were treated to canapes of gravlax on rye, salt cod fritters and lingonberry macarons, alongside a preview of Aquavit’s special offering for the festive season: the gåsebryst, strawberry marmalade sandwiched between two delicate layers of soft sponge, topped with vanilla custard, and whipped cream.

The Nordic winter garden is open through November and into the New Year.
