Kristina Rihanoff might be a busy mum but since the birth of her daughter, Mila, she's shown no signs of slowing down. We spoke to the Sctrictly Come Dancing pro during the photo shoot ahead of the launch of her new fashion collection in collaboration with Pia Michi.

Fashion

“I've been a loyal fan of the brand over 8 years,” she commented, “Pia Michi was the first brand I started wearing for red carpet events when I moved to the UK. I always had loads of compliments so I stayed with the brand. It's my ‘go-to’ brand for any occasion. So it is a natural progression to collaborate with Pia Michi. I am thrilled to be releasing my capsule collection for Fall/Winter 2017”.

Earlier this week, in the interview with The Sun Kristina admitted: "The same things don’t bother me like before, like how I look, what I weigh or what people say about me. Kristina said she didn't put pressure on herself to lose her baby weight fast or have the perfect figure since becoming a mother, saying her main focus was her newborn. She said: "I didn’t want to be stressed or worried about how much I weigh because I’ve never been a skinny girl. That’s never been me, so why add that pressure?"

Speaking to Ikon London Magazine about her capsule collection with Pia Michi, Kristina added: “I wanted to create elegant, feminine and comfortable event gowns for women of different shapes and sizes. I am a big advocate for women to feel comfortable in their own skin, whatever size they are. I'm a size 10 and petit myself so these dresses are truly designed to make any woman feel and look beautiful. My collection is about elegance and confidence.”

The star will launch the collection on September 18th which will be available at Pia Michi stockists.

Philanthropy

As if this alone is not enough, it wasn’t the only good news from Kristina. The pro dancer shared with us her successes with the DotCom Children’s Foundation.

DotCom was founded by former TV presenter Sharon Evans - who was herself a victim of sexual abuse and violence in her childhood - and Kristina has been the patron of the charity ever since she met Sharon a while ago.

The Dot Com Children’s Foundation was set up to teach children self-esteem, safety and good values.  The programme acts as a universal safeguarding tool and is delivered in schools using journals based on the character Dot Com and her friends.

Kristina admitted to Ikon that she had ‘a rocky childhood’ herself and the values of the DotCom Foundation resonated with her so much that ever since meeting Sharon Evans, Kristina was involved in philanthropy pursuit. “I am very excited about the upcoming charity gala with Dionne Warwick – this is an exciting opportunity for the charity and for all UK children.”

The foundation, we were told, has seen great support from UK hedge fund firm Avem Capital, who were appointed as Platinum Sponsors of DotCom Children’s Foundation for the next five years.

“Sharon and I are very grateful and moved by all wonderful people who feel strongly about our cause and decided to get involved.” Added Kristina. “I am touched by kind and generous move of Dionne Warwick who wrote a song dedicated to our charity gala and will be performing life at the event.”

That’s two more notches on Kristina’s belt before her 40th Birthday later this September.
