The A-list friends shared a big hug as they ran into each other outside the Odeon Leicester Square on Wednesday night and proceeded to joke around.
Trying but failing to keep straight faces as they posed for pictures, Robbie and Smith, who have also worked together on last year’s Focus, descended into giggles.
Cara Delevingne diverted a lot of the attention as she arrived wearing a sheer black mini-dress and thigh-high leather boots.
The entire cast of David Ayer’s DC film turned out for the UK premiere, including Joel Kinnerman, Jared Leto and Jai Courtney.
What surprised fans was the unscheduled appearance on the red carpet of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.
Although not billed to appear in the film, Affleck’s Batman and Cavill’s Superman are part of the same ‘DC universe’.
Fans went wild as the pair arrived on the red carpet many shouting hysterically to get autographs with the stars.
Speaking to Laura Whitmore on the red carpet, Delevingne told the crowd that she was so happy to be back in her hometown of London.“I'm so happy to be in London right now - it's awesome. I love London so much - thank you so much for the support guys.
Speaking about her character, The Enchantress, she said: “To be honest i'm a little demon at heart. That's how I wake up in the morning, honesty.
“It was three hours of hair and make-up every day. The amount of tattoos and dirt, it was definitely a challenge."
Jared Leto, who plays The Joker, looked like he’d come in character, wearing a green jacket and pink trousers.
Speaking about working with Robbie, he said: “Margot is very easy to have chemistry with - she's incredibly talented and very sweet and a great actress. The perfect partner for me and the joker.”
In an interview with GQ Style ahead of the film’s release, Leto said: “There was a point where I was researching violence and was watching a lot of things that…things that it’s arguable if anybody should even see.
“It starts to just get inside of you, violence and some of those things. But you know, I’ve made some pretty dark films.”
“I noticed that it started to have an impact on me that I didn’t like, so I stopped."
