Director Philippe Falardeau presented his new film The Bleeder at the Venice Film Festival. The film is a drama inspired by the life of heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner, who fought Muhammad Ali at the peak of his success.

Red carpet fashion at The Bleeder World Premiere

Main cast – Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber – paraded the red carpet on Friday night. I wish I could say that Naomi Watt’s dress complimented her body and skin tone but not this time. Miss Italia Penelope Landini in meantime got into focus for entirely the wrong reason – being barefoot on the red carpet.

Liev Schreiber, who plays Chuck Wepner in the film, received festival’s highest lifetime achievement award. After the award ceremony, cinephiles enjoyed the out of competition screening of The Bleeder.
