There was some devilish fun to be had at the book launch of Tatum Flynn’s The D’Evil Diaries at Daunt Books in trendy Marylebone. Lucifer himself greeted the guests that included Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia, who entered into the spirit of the evening by dressing in black and red, while Princess Olga Romanoff, who was looking forward to swapping her usual tiara for a pair of devilish horns, was devastated to be held up at home with a heavy cold.
Author Peter James, voted the biggest crime writer of all time in a recent W H Smith poll, came to congratulate her writer friend Tatum Flynn. But the real stars of the evening were the two eleven year old boys, Oscar Holloway, son of stunning model Lana Holloway, Face of Cetuem Cosmetics, who read an extract from the book dressed up as the main character Jinx – and Harvey Sheehan who made the brilliant video.
A special cocktail was created for the occasion, Persephone, a mix of prosecco and pomegranate juice, to celebrate the Greek Goddess, featured in the book. Popcakes, with devilish faces, were consumed with great gusto not only by the children, but also the adults.
The D’Evil Diaries, a humorous fantasy adventure book for 8-12 years old, is available from Amazon and all good bookshops
