The world’s most ridiculously good-looking person and ‘mastermind’ of Blue Steel returned to strut his stuff in London. Zoolander 2, the most awaited film among fashioninstas and the public alike screened at the Empire Leicester Square, London. The cast including Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell and Penelope Cruz hit the blue carpet with luminaires such as Lara Stone, Millie Mackintosh, Myleene Klass and Valentino amongst others.

Following the success of Zoolander (2001), we see Derek and Hansel modelling again. Their rival Mugatu, played by Will Ferrell, will yet again attempt to take them out of the business.

Ben Stiller paid a moving tribute to David Bowie, admitting he would have “loved” the late star to appear in Zoolander 2.

Bowie had a cameo role in 2001’s Zoolander as the judge of a fashion “walk off” between male models Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson).

Speaking at the screening of the sequel in London’s Leicester Square, Stiller paid tribute to the musician, who passed away in January.

He said: “He was a huge influence on so many people, I think on our culture, in the last 40, 50 years – when you go back and look at how long he was making music and how ahead of the curve he always was and always taking chances.

“So I think I’m like everyone else – influenced by him in that way.

“And it would have been great to have him in the second one.

“But having him in the first was a very special thing, and I will always cherish that.”

In the 2001 movie, Bowie lays out the rules of the competition and adjudicates, choosing Hansel as the winner when he manages to remove his underwear without taking his trousers off.

Zoolander No 2 features cameos from stars including Benedict Cumberbatch, Justin Bieber, Sting, Olivia Munn and Ariana Grande.

The film will be released in the UK on 12th February 2016 and is a must-see film during London Fashion Week.

‘Cool’ pout.
