Pixie Lott, Emma Noble and Jerry Hall were all in bright colours at the Amy Winehouse Foundation Ball in London. The stars were out in their droves for the annual bash, which aims to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Mitch and Janis Winehouse use Amy’s legacy to help others
The foundation is a charity that was set up by her parents, Mitch Winehouse and Janis Winehouse, following the late singer’s tragic death in 2011. Through its work, the foundation aims to educate young people about the effects of alcohol and drug misuse, provide support for those most at risk and support disadvantaged young people through the use of music.
Pixie led the glamour in her Santa red dress and matching lipstick. The singer paid tribute to Amy’s trademark eyeliner by rocking it with XL lashes. The striking frock set off her loose blonde locks and flawless complexion.
“I love anyone who’s got a soulful, amazing voice and she definitely had that. My favourite song was Love is a Losing Game because of the soul that’s in it”, Pixie told the Mirror.
Emma Noble and Jerry Hall both went for blue ensembles, and while Emma’s shiny frock, soft curls and heavy eyeliner had a Hollywood flavour, Jerry’s lace embellished number, bouncy curls and low key make-up had a retro feel.
Mitch told journalists that when Amy was on holiday in St Lucia battling her drug addiction, she had hired horses meant for tourists so that the local children could go on rides for a month, at a cost of $15,000.
“She’d created the Amy Winehouse Foundation long before we’d even thought about it. He explained.
