The Z10 handset, which has a touchscreen, will go on sale in the UK tomorrow and elsewhere in the world next month. A sister phone, the Q10, which has a physical keyboard similar to the old BlackBerry handsets, and my favourite of the two, was also launched today by under-fire CEO Thrsten Heins. He said: ‘We have been on a journey of transformation’. But the handset maker was immediately accused of ‘copying’ the iPhone’s design and software with its BB10 operating system – and the firm’s share price immediately fell. We’ll see what the public reaction will be for these phones, if anyone cares. Too little too late?
