London goes Brazilian for a day. On 22 May 2026, Leyton Jubilee Park hosts Boa Nova Festival, the UK’s first outdoor celebration dedicated entirely to Brazilian music
If London has a new soundtrack this spring, it’s coming straight from Brazil. Boa Nova Festival lands at Leyton Jubilee Park, transforming east London into a day-long carnival of sound, rhythm, and colour. Curated by The Columbo Group as part of the UK/Brazil Season of Culture 2025-26, Boa Nova marks the first UK festival solely devoted to Brazilian music, from samba to Baile Funk.
Set across two stages, the festival promises a lineup of Brazil’s contemporary stars. Headliners João Gomes, Liniker, and Mari Froes will share the bill for a one-off London debut. Emerging talents like A Música De Tim Maia, D. Vyzor, and a “very special guest” will round out the first stage. Over on the dance-focused stage, curated with Baile Funk Culture, Caio Prince, Th4ys, Bronka, DJ Patife, and Mango & Ginger will bring the beats that define Brazil’s street and club scenes today.
Festival-goers can expect live samba drumming, Carnival-inspired shows, Axé, and Brazilian Funk—all designed to turn Leyton Jubilee Park into an immersive Brazilian playground. Add a lineup of food stalls like Aroma Grill and Broll Grill, serving authentic churrasco and Brazilian delicacies, and you’ve got an eight-hour cultural plunge.
Tickets start at £38.50, with discounts for Waltham Forest residents and a limited number of complimentary passes via ballot. Doors open at 2pm, and the festival runs through to 10pm.
As part of the UK/Brazil Season of Culture 2025-26, it celebrates 200 years of diplomatic and cultural ties, presenting Brazil’s music scene in all its contemporary glory, while embedding it in London’s festival landscape.
