During the Burberry Prorsum AW14 show, a look came down the runway that left both editors and a long range of A-listers as Olivia Palermo, Sarah Jessica Parker and Rosie Huntington-Whitely weak in the knees. The knee-weakening look I’m talking about is, of course, the Burberry Prorsum Colour Block Check Blanket Poncho crafted in Scotland from wool and cashmere. The Burberry poncho measures 130 X 127 cm and is finished with blanket stitch edges and is available for $1,395.
Supermodel and Burberry Poncho victim Cara Delevingne was the one to carry the Poncho down the runway. She wore the tempting and personalized poncho layered over a sheer silk dress and gorgeous statement sandals.
The poncho turned out to be a huge success for Burberry. Not because of the perfect autumnal palette or the high-quality wool and cashmere. The poncho got the attention because of the monogramming service. A service that allows you to step out wearing your new Burberry poncho with your own initials, just like Cara Delevingne, Olivia Palermo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and many more.
