Juergen Teller, one of today’s most influential photographers, is showcasing his latest exhibition 7 ½ at the historic Palazzo Giardino in Sabbioneta until 23 November 2025. The exhibition offers an intimate glimpse into the past seven and a half years of his creative journey, exploring new themes shaped by his personal life and artistic evolution.

To mark the occasion, a special launch event will be held on Tuesday 2 September at Palazzo Diedo in Venice, a vibrant hub for contemporary art. This event will celebrate the release of the exhibition’s bilingual catalogue published by Marsilio, which documents Teller’s bold and uncompromising work.

Curated by Mario Codognato, 7 ½ is Teller’s most personal project yet. Known for breaking the rules of fashion photography, Teller blends the everyday with the extraordinary, capturing moments that feel raw, honest, and deeply human. Codognato describes him as “one of the greatest innovators in photography” whose candid style anticipated the rise of social media’s unfiltered visuals.

The exhibition is organised by the Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation with support from key regional and cultural partners. Ezio Zani, Artistic Director of the Foundation, says the Venice launch “confirms that Sabbioneta is gaining international recognition as a centre for cutting-edge contemporary art.”

Teller’s career spans fashion, biography, and documentary photography. His work has been shown at top venues such as Fondation Cartier in Paris, the ICA in London, and the Venice Biennale. His photographs are held in prestigious collections including the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, and London’s National Portrait Gallery.

For art lovers and photography fans, 7 ½ offers a rare chance to see the evolution of one of the medium’s most provocative voices.
