Featuring viral comic Mark Bittlestone, the Homoparody collective, and a 60-second open mic, the one-night event celebrates comedy, community, and queer joy.
If you’re looking for a Pride event with fewer floats and more punchlines, Wembley Park Pride might be the one to head for this summer.
On Saturday 5 July 2025, the North London neighbourhood will host a free, open-air Pride sundowner beneath the Wembley Stadium arch, as part of its Summer Rocks programme. The event promises a joyful mix of queer comedy, music, dancing – and one minute of fame for anyone brave enough to take the mic.
Taking the headline slot is viral stand-up Mark Bittlestone, known for his biting humour, cult-hit show I Need a Straight Guy, and social media clips that have earned him over 200,000 followers and 100 million views. His live shows – including a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run – blend wit, chaos and no shortage of gay panic.
Joining him are the high-energy Homoparody Queer Collective, founded by Mr Gay England 2022, David Allwood. Known for their cabaret mashups, dance routines and sense of community-first performance, the group brings both sparkle and solidarity to the Sound Shell stage.
There’s also a set from Nikky Lyle, co-founder of the sell-out LGBTQ+ party Damp Disco, spinning a floor-filling mix of pop, cheese and queer anthems. And if you’ve ever wanted to step up yourself, Special Guest – a 60-second open mic slot where anything goes – offers space for spontaneous comedy, thoughts, talent, or just joy.
The sundowner kicks off at 6.30pm and is open to everyone over 18. Entry is free.
The event forms part of Wembley Park’s broader summer season, which includes outdoor art, live music, wellness programming and performances marking 10 years of Busk in London.
