Marylebone Theatre presents the London revival of Cable Street, a new musical telling the story of ordinary Londoners standing together against fascism in 1936.
The musical Cable Street is back in London this January at Marylebone Theatre for a six-week run. The show revisits one of the city’s defining historical moments, when Jews, Irish dockers, trade unionists, communists and local residents came together on 4th October 1936 to resist the rise of fascism.
The production features a contemporary score by multi-award-winning composer Tim Gilvin and a script by Alex Kanefsky. It is directed by Adam Lenson, with musical supervision from Tamara Saringer, choreography by Jevan Howard Jones, and design by Lu Herbert and Yoav Segal.
Returning cast members include Olivier Award nominee Debbie Chazen as Kathleen, Ethan Pascal Peters as Moishe, and Max Alexander-Taylor as Sean. New cast members joining the production are Lizzy-Rose Esin-Kelly, Isaac Gryn, Barney Wilkinson, Preeya Kalidas as Edie/Elizabeth, and Romona Lewis-Malley as Rosa.
Produced by Dylan Schlosberg’s 10 to 4 Productions with Associate Producer Neil Marcus, Cable Street offers audiences a contemporary musical retelling of a historic act of community solidarity.
