Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal launched his SS/14 eyewear range with Vision Express in London. This latest collection includes sunglasses for the first time.

The party held at the Vision Express main store in London’s Oxford Street, was a lot of fun and we were treated to an exotic range of canapes. Although champagne was absent this year -I’m booked in for therapy to get over it- I got distracted with vodka cocktails and choosing new glasses from the Core Collection. 

Attendees included 80 guests, including media and celebrities, plus Vision Express senior execs such as Jonathan Lawson CEO, Jenny Wye Senior PR Manager, Amanda Howard Head of Online.

Celebrity guests were: English Soprano Laura Wright, Model Olivia Inge, Made in Chelsea Louise Thompson, -The reality star teamed her bronzed hue with a light blue leather jacket, black trousers and – of course – a pair of specs-  TV judge/presenter and choreographer Arlene Philips, Model Marie Helvin, TV Presenter Gail Porter, TV presenter AJ Adudu, Game of Thrones Laura Pradelska and Pips Taylor Fashion Presenter.

180 cocktails were consumed, including the below food and drinks with Heston’s signature twist:

–          Mango disks with goats cheese, red onion and micro salad (v)

–          Savoury cones with artichokes, parmesan, white truffle mousse and quince jelly(v)

–          Beef carpaccio crostini with Manchego cheese and wild rocket pearls

–          Savoury cones with smoked salmon mousse nitro frozen pomelo

–          Rhubarb in a tube and almond biscuit

–          Deconstructed cheese cake
