Few musicals can lift the spirits quite like MAMMA MIA! — that dazzling fusion of ABBA’s music, Mediterranean sunshine and heartfelt storytelling. And now, the worldwide phenomenon is returning to UK stages with a brand-new tour launching this autumn, running from 24 October 2025 through January 2027.
Produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar, in association with Universal Music Group and NGM, this new chapter of MAMMA MIA! promises to bring the story’s warmth and humour to audiences across the country — from its sparkling opening in Southampton to its final curtain in Plymouth.
At the centre of the story, Jenn Griffin steps into the iconic role of Donna Sheridan, joined by Ashleigh Jones as Alternate Donna. The company also stars Rosie Glossop as Rosie, Sarah Earnshaw as Tanya, Luke Jasztal as Sam Carmichael, Richard Meek as Harry Bright, Mark Goldthorp as Bill Austin, and Lydia Hunt as Sophie Sheridan — alongside a vibrant ensemble of rising musical theatre talents.

Speaking on the announcement, Judy Craymer shared:
“I’m thrilled to introduce our new UK tour cast. MAMMA MIA! has always been about joy, love, and connection — and this cast will bring that magic to audiences across the country. We can’t wait for everyone to escape to our Greek island idyll and have the time of their lives.”
With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, and a book by Catherine Johnson, the production is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast, with design by Mark Thompson. It’s a creative team that has helped turn MAMMA MIA! from a West End success into a global cultural touchstone.
Now in its 26th year, MAMMA MIA! continues to delight audiences, having been seen by over 70 million people worldwide and inspiring two hit films starring Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, and Amanda Seyfried.
For London and nearby audiences, the tour offers several opportunities to join the celebration — including dates at the New Theatre Oxford, Norwich Theatre Royal, Milton Keynes Theatre, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, and Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre — all within easy reach of the capital.
Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the magic, MAMMA MIA! promises a sun-soaked celebration of life, love, and, of course, ABBA.
