Marc Jacobs threw a party in London to celebrate the launch of his debut Diet Coke bottle designs.
The designer headed to the German Gymnasium in King’s Cross to unveil the limited edition coke bottles and collector’s cases at the exclusive event.
Dressed smartly in a white shirt, black trousers and pumps, Marc took to the stage to pose alongside giant versions of his fun designs and some of his favourite models, including Ginta Lapina, who were styled like the figures printed on the bottles.
The designs, which are on sale at Selfridges stores and the web, are inspired by the styles of the ’80s, ’90s and noughties – all with hallmarks from the designer’s eponymous line.

As part of his new role as creative director of the fizzy drinks brand, the designer will work on a series of Diet Coke projects throughout 2013 as the firm celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Marc said of the collaboration: ‘I feel very privileged to be the new creative director of Diet Coke and put my stamp on the 30th anniversary campaign. Diet Coke is an icon, and I love an icon!’
Diet Coke has a long tradition of collaborating with famous fashion designers, with Marc following in the fashionable footsteps of the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, Roberto Cavalli and, most recently, Jean Paul Gaultier, who have all teamed up with the drinks brand giant in the past to design limited edition bottles.
The party was such a lot of fun dear readers, as we were lavished with champagne and canapes all night, had hair and make up artists ‘fixing’ me up for photos for the Diet Coke/Marc Jacobs website. Goodie bags consisted of the boxed set of the Marc Jacobs Diet Coke bottles in a Marc Jacob bag.
