Secret Cinema sets sail with a world-premiere Pirates of the Caribbean production in its new North Greenwich home

Secret Cinema is returning with a new large-scale production. The immersive company has announced Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure, opening in London in February 2027, with tickets on sale from 1 June.

Running for 10 weeks, the production reworks The Curse of the Black Pearl as a live, walk-through experience. Rather than following a fixed stage, the show unfolds across a series of connected environments. Audiences move through spaces inspired by the film, encountering performers, musicians and stunt sequences as the action builds around them.

The production brings together large-scale set design with live performance, sword fighting and aerial work, alongside a live band. Characters and storylines from the franchise run through the experience, with each visit shaped by how audiences move through the space.

The show also marks the opening of Secret Cinema’s first permanent venue at Greenwich Peninsula. Located near North Greenwich station and The O2, the site reflects a shift for the company, which has spent much of its history staging productions in temporary locations across London.

Founded in London in 2007 by Fabien Riggall, Secret Cinema helped establish immersive film experiences in the UK. Early events took place in undisclosed locations, with audiences arriving without knowing the film in advance. Over time, productions grew in scale, transforming sites into detailed environments inspired by titles including Back to the Future, Star Wars, Blade Runner 2049, Casino Royale and Stranger Things. The company was acquired by TodayTix in 2022 as part of plans to expand its productions internationally.
