Bikini Fatigue: Brits Sick of Celebs Enjoying ‘Too Many’ Holidays
She’s famed for her love of the finer things in life but now Tamara Ecclestone has topped a poll of celebrities we are sick of seeing on their holidays.
The 28 year old is regularly photographed topping up her tan at exclusive locations across the globe.
But now it seems the British public has grown tired of seeing the F1 heiress flaunting her assets in our newspapers and magazines.
A poll by travel website HolidayPlace.co.uk named Tamara as the number one holiday snap yawn with 17% of votes.
The cast of TOWIE was collectively named second in the poll with 15% of those polled saying they were sick of them flashing the flesh in Marbs.
Royals such as Princes Charles William and Harry, and William’s wife Kate, were all named by voters and picked up enough support to be collectively named in third place with 13% of votes.
Footballer Wayne Rooney and wife Colleen came fourth in the poll with 12% of voters tired of seeing their Dubai holiday snaps.
Simon Cowell completed the top five with 11% of voters saying they were bored of seeing him pictured on his yachts surrounded by adoring females.
One respondent commented: “Every time I pick up a newspaper or magazine there’s a picture of Tamara Ecclestone sunning herself.
“Surely I’m not the only one who’s tired of this vacuous airhead? Most of us are struggling to pay the bills and the prolonged winter hasn’t helped.
“I for one am tired of seeing her laid out in the sun. She should get a proper job and experience real life for a change.”
Another voter commented: “I know the Royals work hard but, my God, they certainly enjoy more than their fair share of holidays.
“Every time I turn on the news one of them seems to be off somewhere. It’s either Prince Charles and Camilla skiing, Prince Harry partying in Vegas, or Kate being snapped topless in the south of France. Most of us are lucky if we get two weeks away each year.”
Another voter told pollsters: “What is it with the cast of TOWIE? Why are they always being photographed in their swimsuits in Marbella?
“Why are we supposed to care? It’s boring and I think most people are sick of it. Yes people like Joey Essex and Sam Faires have nice bodies but that doesn’t mean we want to look at them lounging poolside all the time.”
A spokesman for HolidayPlace.co.uk, who commissioned the survey, said the results showed that seeing other people enjoying themselves makes us all yearn for warmer climes.
He said: “After such a long winter many of us are already dreaming about our summer holidays and it seems some people find it quite hard to watch others enjoying holiday after holiday.
“I do think though that most of us would happily swap place with the rich and famous and enjoy their multi holiday lifestyle if we could.”
