The cult Scottish comic returns with his most personal and unhinged show yet

After a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd is taking his critically acclaimed show Howling At The Moon on a nationwide UK tour in 2026.

The tour includes a stop in London at Leicester Square Theatre on Friday 8 May, with a date just before at Brighton’s Komedia on Wednesday 6 May. More dates and locations stretch across the UK, from Aberdeen to Shetland — including stops in Manchester, Cardiff, Dublin, and Glasgow — because apparently this man will go anywhere for a laugh.

Known for his brilliantly offbeat storytelling, Macarthur-Boyd’s new show finds him wading through the big stuff: breakups, bereavement, existential dread — and moving back in with his parents. It’s part therapy session, part stand-up set, and part quiet scream into a void lined with glow-in-the-dark stars.

There’s a lot to relate to in this hour — whether you’ve recently had your heart broken, your life rearranged, or you’ve just found yourself crying in a Tesco car park at 2pm for no particular reason.

The New York Times called it “seriously fine-tuned… offbeat humour turned up to 11” — and they don’t say that lightly. This isn’t just comedy about mental health and family chaos. It’s comedy that understands it.

The full 2026 tour schedule is now live.
