A brave attempt by Director Sam Raimi to build on the magic of “The Wizard Of Oz,” and while it most definitely doesn’t diminish the standing of that movie, Sam’s film provides proof that the more we know about the mysteries of our favorite stories and legends, the less interesting they become. I think James Franco was miscast, showing little humour throughout and making his character a wimpy weakling. Still, we had lots of surprises in the flick from flying monkeys to the Wicked Witch of the West, you never know what you’ll find as you travel down the yellow brick road. A bit like a night out in Dalston. Used to it really.

At the London premiere surprisingly the cast was on time and we were paraded the stars in front us for pictures, and the lovely Mila Kunis stole the show. Michelle Williams looked lovely but not the sex kittycat that Mila obviously is. James Franco and Zach Braff looked like second hand car salesmen with uber dull GREY suits and Primark looking shoes. Jeez, BOTH of you in grey suits? Shoot the stylist and then yourselves. As for Rachel Weisz, well, she was very late! Rachel dear, we all made it in time and the rest of the cast did too. Where on earth where YOU?! Pffff. As I had Zoe Griffin’s book launch party to go to, I had to scoot before la Weisz made her mind up whether she was coming or not. Still reasonably entertaining nonetheless with a couple of drinks in you.
