Internationally acclaimed superstar Robbie Williams and director Michael Gracey attended a photo-call this afternoon in support of the forthcoming feature film Better Man at Chopard’s Rooftop Terrace at the Cannes Film Festival. The highly anticipated musical feature film Better Man is inspired by the life of Robbie Williams, and is directed and co-written by Australian filmmaker Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman).

Better Man looks at the rise, fall and resurrection of Williams – one of the UK’s bestselling artists of all time. Gracey will shine light on the incredible highs and lows of celebrity and the journey to stardom, inspired by Williams’ life and how he sees himself. The fantastical musical will be filled with reimagined versions of Williams’ musical hits and iconic performances, with spectacular set pieces and stunning visual effects created by the Academy Award® winning team at Weta FX (Avatar, Lord of the Rings trilogy). Williams stars alongside Jonno Davies (Hunters, Kingsman: The Secret Service). The cast also includes BAFTA® Award winner Steve Pemberton (Inside No. 9, Killing Eve), BAFTA® nominee Alison Steadman (The Kings Man, Roald & Beatrix: The Tail of the Curious Mouse), Damon Herriman (Judy & Punch, The Tourist), Kate Mulvany (Hunters, Elvis) and Anthony Hayes (War Machine, The Light Between Oceans). Tom Budge (Bloom, Gallipoli), Raechelle Banno (Home and Away, The Ruby Landry Saga) Jake Simmance (Anatomy Of A Scandal), Liam Head, Chase Vollenweider and Jesse Hyde round out the ensemble.
