Hawaii’s natural beauty—from lush rainforests to active volcanoes—gives couples a chance to experience their own movie-worthy adventure.

Greece: A Cinematic Beauty

With 8,401 searches, Greece secures second place, attracting honeymooners with its iconic white-washed buildings, crystal-clear waters, and rich culture. But Greece is also known for its cinematic legacy. The island of Skopelos became a household name thanks to the film Mamma Mia!, which showcased its charming beauty. Meanwhile, For Your Eyes Only and Before Midnight also used Greece’s incredible scenery to set the tone for romance and intrigue.

Bora Bora: A Luxurious Film Setting

Coming in third with 7,463 searches, Bora Bora is a paradise not only for honeymooners but also for film crews. The 2009 romantic comedy Couples Retreat was filmed here, highlighting the island’s stunning overwater bungalows and idyllic setting. Bora Bora’s secluded luxury makes it a perfect destination for newlyweds looking to follow in the footsteps of their favourite movie stars.

Italy: The Land of Romance and Drama

Italy, with 7,428 searches, ranks fourth, and its historical cities and countryside have been the backdrop for countless films. The Maldives, which draws 6,477 searches monthly, is known for its crystal-clear waters and luxurious resorts, but did you know this tropical paradise was also a part of the Star Wars universe? The planet Scarif in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was filmed here, using the stunning backdrop of the Maldives’ atolls. For couples looking to combine luxury with a touch of the cinematic, the Maldives is an unforgettable choice.

Costa Rica: Jurassic Adventures Await

Ranking sixth with 6,398 searches, Costa Rica offers honeymooners a unique mix of adventure and relaxation. St Lucia: Pitons and Movie Magic

St Lucia, with 5,523 searches, is eighth on the list, known for its dramatic landscapes, including the famous Pitons. These iconic peaks have been featured in films like Superman II, giving the island an otherworldly charm. It’s an ideal setting for honeymooners looking to combine luxury with a hint of cinematic adventure.

Caribbean: Pirates and Paradise

Coming in ninth with 5,312 searches, the Caribbean is famous for its diverse islands and vibrant culture, but it’s also home to one of the most famous film franchises—Pirates of the Caribbean.
