London hosted the UK premiere of Max Joseph’s debut feature We Are Your Friends where the cast and crew took to the red carpet. 

Despite the somewhat drizzly weather, the crowd’s spirits soon lifted as the main man Zac Efron hit the red carpet and took the time to speak to both media and waiting fans. Joining him at the premiere was his co-star Emily Ratajkowski, and the film’s director Max Joseph.

We Are Your Friends is set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, and follows an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole (Efron), who spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire.

All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James (Wes Bentley), who takes him under his wing. 

Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie (Ratajkowski). With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he is destined for.
