The Barcelona Marathon 2025 is officially sold out. Yes, all 27,000 places have been snapped up, marking a record-breaking year for the event. On March 16, runners from across the world will hit the city’s streets, legs burning, trainers pounding, wondering why they thought 26.2 miles in the Spanish sunshine was a good idea.

Among them? A hefty 57% of participants are international, with UK runners making up one of the largest contingents. That’s right – thousands of Brits are set to swap grey, drizzly park runs for a sun-soaked, adrenaline-fuelled dash past the Sagrada Família, Parc de la Ciutadella and all the way down to the Mediterranean coast.

And where does one celebrate the fact they’ve just pushed their body to its absolute limit? At Time Out Market Barcelona, obviously.

Refuel Like a Champ at Time Out Market Barcelona

A mere 20-minute stroll from the finish line (yes, you will have to move again), Time Out Market Barcelona is where sweaty, medal-wearing runners can collapse into a seat and feast like they’ve actually earned it.

Want classic Catalan? Head to Bar Nuri for traditional tapas – best enjoyed with the kind of reckless abandon only a post-marathon hunger can justify. Or, for something a little more Michelin, there’s food from Jordi Artal (yes, two stars) and Fran López (one star). If you’ve still got a shred of energy left, Lena Maria Grané is the up-and-coming chef you’ll want to keep an eye on.

And because no one runs 26 miles just to drink a protein shake, Paradiso – one of the World’s 50 Best Bars (and crowned #1 in 2022) – is on hand with celebratory bubbles. Whether it’s champagne or something non-alcoholic, you’ve more than earned a toast.

Planning Your Barcelona Trip?

Whether you’re running, spectating, or just here for the pintxos, Time Out Market Barcelona is where the best of the city comes together under one roof.

So, if you’re covering Barcelona’s booming food scene, best bars, or top post-marathon eats, drop us a line. Or, if you’re visiting the city, come see what all the fuss is about.
