Feature film Saltburn, directed by Emerald Fennel, had its international premiere this week as the Opening Night gala of the BFI London Film Festival. In attendance was director Emerald Fennell along with a number of her filmmaking team.
“Saltburn” is a 2023 psychological thriller drama film directed, written, and produced by Emerald Fennell. The film stars Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, and Archie Madekwe. Set in the mid-2000s, it follows a young university student who becomes infatuated with his aristocratic schoolmate and his wealthy but eccentric family.
Principal photography took place in multiple locations over the UK, including the Drayton House in Northamptonshire. Margot Robbie produced the film through her production company LuckyChap Entertainment, along with producers Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and line-producer Tim Wellspring.
The gala party took place at a gorgeously transformed BFI Southbank with guests dancing the night away to noughties themed classic tunes.
The film opens in cinemas on 17 November.
