The Real Greek Bankside fine dining restaurant welcomed TV personalities, press and fine cuisine foodies with the mission of introducing London to the best Greek fine dining experience – ‘Greek Gods Of Fine Dining’. The group’s flagship 170-seater restaurant brought together nine of the finest Greek chefs from the most talked about Athens’ restaurant Cookoovaya.
The evening, hosted by the award-winning TV chef and the face of Greek food in the UK Tonia Buxton, – Greek goddess herself – was nothing short of a gastronomic feast. Chefs have managed to impress even the most snobbish foodies with their sumptuous four-course ‘sharing’ menu.
‘Greek Gods Of Fine Dining’ menu
Delicious octopus, succulent lamb cutlets, a variety of fish dishes and the culmination of the evening – a Greek pastry Bougatasa that is as spectacularly served as it is deliciously light and tasty – was washed down with plenty of Greek wine.
What TV Chef Tonia Buxton said
Tonia Buxton said “To have the top Greek chefs touch down in London for one night only is such an exciting moment – I’m honoured to be part of bringing their prestigious food to The Real Greek. What a truly sensational experience to taste creations from exceptional chefs” and we can only agree with that. Honoured indeed.
On the night we were joined by Anthea Turner, Lizzie Cundy, Jo Wood and Zara Holland amongst others who were all in good spirits as they toasted the host of the evening Tonia Buxton and the Real Greek.
