A warm, witty celebration of British pub culture, resilience and the small acts that bring communities back together.

In UK cinemas from 6 March 2026

From the creative team behind the much-loved British hits Finding Your Feet and Fisherman’s Friends, Mother’s Pride is a feel-good comedy-drama that taps into something deeply familiar: the local pub as the emotional heart of a community.

Set in a struggling neighbourhood boozer, the film follows a grieving family whose lives begin to change when they start brewing their own beer. What begins as a practical attempt to keep the pub afloat soon gathers momentum, leading them to enter the Great British Beer Awards — and, in the process, reconnect with neighbours, confront old resentments and rediscover a shared sense of pride.

Directed by Nick Moorcroft, Mother’s Pride blends humour with emotional depth, balancing laugh-out-loud moments with quieter, more reflective scenes. The story is rooted in authentic British pub culture, where personal history, rivalry and camaraderie are never far from the surface.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Jonno Davies, James Buckley, Gabriella Wilde, Luke Treadaway and Miles Jupp, with Josie Lawrence, Stephen Leask, Emily Lloyd-Saini and Karl Collins, alongside Mark Addy and Martin Clunes. Together, they bring warmth, sharp comic timing and credibility to a story about ordinary people facing loss — and finding a way forward together.

At its core, Mother’s Pride is a celebration of community, family and the quiet power of collective effort. It’s a reminder that even in divided times, shared spaces — and the people who fight to keep them alive — still matter.

Mother’s Pride opens in UK cinemas on 6 March 2026.
