London Bridge’s Hoopla Impro marks its 20th anniversary with a tightly packed festival that puts some of the UK’s best improv talent back on the stage where many of them started.

Running 10 April to 21 May 2026, Hoopla’s 20th Anniversary Improv Festival takes place at Hoopla’s 80-seat theatre on Snowsfields—an unusually intimate setting for performers more often seen on major stages and on screen.

The programme centres on one-off shows from established names in improvisation, including Dylan Emery and collaborators from the Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, alongside Adam Meggido, Ruth Bratt and Rob Broderick. Performers connected to The Comedy Store Players also feature across the run.

Regular Hoopla formats return as part of the festival, including ComediAsians and Do The Right Scene, highlighting Asian, South East Asian, Black and Global Majority improvisers, alongside nights showcasing emerging acts from the wider improv community.

Founded in 2006 above a pub, Hoopla has grown into the UK’s largest improv training organisation, with alumni working across theatre, television and radio. This anniversary programme reflects that trajectory, bringing established performers back into a compact room that foregrounds the immediacy of improv. Expect unscripted performance, rapid-fire ideas and close-up comedy with no two nights the same.
