With royal baby fever in the air and the new addition due any day, all eyes are on the relatively “newly-weds”, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It hasn’t been the smoothest of transitions from ‘Z-list Hollywood TV Star’ to British Royal, with family controversy and feuds, lavish baby showers with private jets (despite being a self-proclaimed environmentalist) with an eco-friendly gender neutral baby nursery.
When it comes to breaking Royal Protocol and tradition, the apparently “difficult” Duchess appears to like to push the boundaries as far as possible and make up her own rules.
Unlike her Sister-in-Law Kate who has taken to her Royal role with elegance, sophistication and the ability to identify with her public, yet still remain regal; Meghan or “MeGain” as she has reportedly been named by her remaining Courtiers, seems to have quickly developed a taste for the finer things in life.

Whereas future Queen Catherine will happily look to the high street as well as designer fashion labels, Markle’s wardrobe appears to have been massively upgraded and filled with mainly bespoke Givenchy.
Hardly surprising that Prince Charles has already had to warn her about appearing too extravagant and the Queen has put a ban on which items of jewellery the Duchess of Sussex may borrow after her “tiara tantrums”, including an embargo on all those belonging to Harry’s late mother.
However, love her or loathe her, there is no denying that Duchess of Sussex shoe collection is rather impressive, so it seems that at least her husband’s “what Meghan wants Meghan gets” rule is certainly still valid in the footwear department. As a fellow shoe fanatic, I thought it was only fair to take a look at some of what our humanitarian Duchess has worn and spent on her shoes since joining the royal family.

Not bad if you ask me and a mere snip at a total of £27,022.40 for someone who in the last 12 months has reportedly spent over £700,000 on clothes, compared to Kate who has supposedly only spent a mere £68,334.23 making Meghan the highest spending European ‘Royal’ when it comes to fashion.
The royal couple have recently returned from a £10,000 a night romantic mini-break in Hampshire before officially separating themselves from the Cambridge’s and moving into their new home in Windsor, complete with a custom built kitchen and floating yoga floor. Let’s hope Harry’s pockets are as deep as his adoration of Meghan.
