Floral Trends AW15 & SS16

With Remembrance Day approaching soon we are accustomed to pinning our red poppies in solidarity with those who sacrificed their lives for our today.

We saw a few poppies on Bond Spectre world premiere at Royal Albert Hall earlier this month. Indeed, red poppy is your must-have every November.

While remembering our heroes let’s not forget that we can wear flowers all year round, not only in November. And we don’t always need a special reason for that.

Make sure you pin your red poppy for Remembrance Day and check for some flower inspiration from designers’ AW15 – SS16 collections below.

Kate Spade has gone flower-crazy this season with new collection inspired by freshness of spring.

We love Temperley London AW15 take on floral theme skilfully blending flowers with masculine silhouettes.

Inspired by the wild roses of the English countryside, Kristian Aadnevik’s SS16 collection contrasts the romantic and fragile against the wild and amorous – soft printed chiffon and flowers are restrained with exotic leathers, pearls, embroidery, python and boning.

With so many options why not to wear flowers any time or season? We can’t agree more with top dog Michael Kors: “there are no seasons anymore. We are really finding it’s a global situation. Other than a linen dress or a fur coat, no one is cleaning out the closet and switching summer and winter wardrobes anymore”.
