Sir Gareth Edwards turned 70 in July 2017 and he is still ‘full of beans’. The Welsh rugby legend attended the charity luncheon in support of the Alzheimer Foundation ahead of the major Six Nations 2018 game where England and Wales play in Twickenham. The luncheon was attended by celebrity photographer Joe Alvarez, TV presenter Sian Lloyd, Team GB Olympic champion Jamie Baulch among others.
For the delight of rugby players – and rugby lovers – in attendance, the rugby-themed auction meant the Welsh legend was there to sign all related lots. Guests also got a chance to submit their question for Sir Gareth Edwards for the after-luncheon Q&A.
From driving on the back of a Vespa to the game to why old Twickenham stadium was his least favourite to the most memorable game ever, Gareth Edwards’ gags left everyone ‘in stitches’.
Listen to the audio recording from the Q&A interview with Welsh rugby legend Sir Gareth Edwards where he recalls the most memorable – and hilarious – moments of his career ahead of England V Wales Six Nations 2018 game where England went on to beat Wales 12-6 at Twickenham.
