A Hamilton star, an Olivier Award-nominated actress and a Tony Award-winning director are coming together for a new romantic comedy in London this autumn.
Jamael Westman, who originated the title role of Hamilton in the West End, joins Marisha Wallace and Michael Rishawn in Table 17, which makes its UK premiere at Kiln Theatre in Kilburn from 17 September to 24 October.
Wallace, who has been nominated for two Olivier Awards for Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma!, plays Jada, while Westman takes the role of Dallas. Rishawn returns as River/Eric after appearing in previous productions of the play.
At the centre of Table 17 is a painfully familiar question: would you have dinner with your ex?
Jada and Dallas were once engaged but have not spoken for seven years. Now they are sitting down together again, attempting to work out whether they have really moved on.
As the evening unfolds, they have to confront the baggage they left behind and decide whether there is still a spark between them or whether some relationships are better left in the past.
Written by Douglas Lyons, Table 17 has already had sold-out runs in New York and Los Angeles. The London production is being created as a new version of the play for British audiences.

Directing it is Zhailon Levingston, who won the 2026 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for Cats: The Jellicle Ball. He became the youngest Black director in Broadway history when he directed Chicken and Biscuits at the age of 27.
Levingston previously directed Table 17 in New York, where the production received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his direction.
For Lyons, the play has come a long way since he first commissioned it in 2022 through New Works Provincetown. It later premiered Off-Broadway at MCC Theater before moving to Los Angeles.
The UK production will be staged at Kiln Theatre, the Kilburn venue formerly known as the Tricycle Theatre. The theatre is known for new writing, UK premieres and productions that reflect the diversity of its North West London neighbourhood.
Table 17 runs at Kiln Theatre, 269 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR, from 17 September to 24 October 2026. Tickets start at £15.
