Galactic with a touch of diamonds read the Chopard Cannes SPACE Party Invitation, co-hosted by Rihanna and Bruno Mars. The lavish party following the exclusive, strictly invitation-only dinner, was held – in a massive domed tent – at Port Pierre Canto during the Cannes Film Festival 2017. The stars in attendance indeed delivered a constellation of looks appropriately finished with Chopard Cannes jewels.
The event is the one to go to and is one of the most desirable parties among the celebrities and socialites. Considering that, and the fact that the jewelry displayed on A-Listers was worth several million dollars – almost every piece – the security measures were truly unprecedented. Security guards cordoned off the area. All incoming cars were to report to the police at the entrance to the port. As if that alone wasn’t enough, the main guests’ entrance was equipped with airport-type metal detectors. What’s more, a helicopter was patrolling the area. The futuristic VIP entrance where we were, replicated the lit-up triangle on the official Chopard Cannes invitation. It created a feeling that you enter the gates to the Galactic portal.
The arrival of VIP guests span from 8pm to past midnight – probably the longest red carpet in the history of Cannes Film Festival, according to celebrity photographer Joe Alvarez.
The Roberto Cavalli Couture slit-to-thigh gown gave us a glimpse of her long pins and her custom-made Rene Caovilla gladiator sandals. Her futuristically winged eyeliner – the same as in her recent Dior make up campaign – finished the look.

Arizona Muse: This Elie Saab Fall 2017 intricate lace-embroidered purple gown may have sat a bit low on the bust, but Arizona nonetheless looked comfortable in her skin and was in jovial spirit.

She kept it classic in a black Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 dress that relied on statement balloon sleeves and a flared skirt for visual impact. Diamonds suit Julianne – as they suit pretty much anyone else. This time, her diamond-studded pendant earring flung on the black carpet – without any losses we hope.
The model wore white shimmering Ralph & Russo Spring 2017 Couture design, fully following the invitation brief.

The colourful sequins made this Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2017 asymmetric gown look very futuristic. The high split was in fashion on the night. And so, Petra also flashed her pins as she twirled on the red carpet. Despite the split, the top of the dress was very conservative indeed.
Walking on the goth side of glamour, Sara and her dramatic dark lips looked to the Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture collection for inspiration in this sheer, embellished gown. Our readers will judge if the goth style suits this supermodel – I much prefer Sara Sampaio’s sublime look from the Cannes Film Festival Opening night.
The red Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture gown was the second creation from the same designer Winnie wore at the Cannes Film Festival. First, at the Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red carpet and then at the Chopard Cannes party. The same designer for two days in a row – Winnie Harlow must be a very loyal ‘customer’.
Looking impossibly regal Adriana struck a divine note in this Reem Acra Spring 2018 Bridal gown. The supermodel was in the jovial spirit as she twirled in her gown various times for us making sure that everyone got the best shot. That’s how you do it.
