The Winter Garden collection by Kristian Aadnevik AW16 is inspired ‘by the wild nature of a mystical winter garden tale’. The show, which took place in Horseguards, has immersed us into a magical tale where enigmatic birds and animals have come together to tell us the story of winter fest.

As always, his dresses draw elegant feminine silhouettes – miniskirts and high slits are yet again prevailing in Aadnevik AW16 collection. And yet, the designer somehow manages to create these alluring flowing frocks that reveal a lot but at the same time add alluring decadence and chic.

In his new collection we see the abundance of fur, leather and feathers – all that embellished on fluid chiffon. Midnight blue and green, soft nudes and metallic shimmer through the gloomy shades of black and grey. Most of the models had a face for radio sadly, and casting could’ve been better I feel. Compared to the Paul Costelloe show were the models were amazing in every way.
