While They Were Waiting review — Gary Wilmot’s absurdist debut finds humour in the act of waiting
Gary Wilmot’s first play pairs him with Steve Furst in a gently surreal two-hander about friendship, mortality and the strange human pastime of waiting. Playing at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in Highgate, the ninety-minute production uses dreamlike set design and witty philosophical exchanges to explore what it means to wait — and what lies beyond.
